As of October 2025 I decided to end my photography self-employment status. I didn’t do this on a whim, things have changed so much in recent years that it became very difficult for me.
I have always stuck to the courage of my convictions and provided the best service I can manage for my clients based on this. Sadly things have changed so much that folk like me are being pushed out by the use of AI in the photography industry.
I refuse to use computer “intelligence” to augment my images, a big part of what I do is to present an honest and true depiction of the subject.
It goes without saying that I am very sad about this, but as Bob Dylan once said: “the time they are a changing”. I’ll miss all my current clients and also the future ones that might have been.
